FURY - Popping up all over the place!

I am thrilled about the places we’re getting to pop up with FURY! We recently did a pop-up performance at Oakland First Fridays which is a large outdoor art festival in downtown Oakland on the first Friday of every month, except, after a minor flurry, we were all actually relieved that Oakland moved the date to July 12 from July 5th. We did a short segment of the full show, with performers Lilie (Capable/vocalist), Adji (Furiosa), Babatunji (Max) and Brett (Joe). YASSOU (the band) and Kristina Dutton played, and Oakland based DJ Kream spun between our dance segments. Oakland based muralists Guillaume Ollivier and Last Ones completed our awesome large mural of Adji as “Furiosa” during the evening.

I loved the whole thing - it was fantastic being: 1. outside 2. at an art festival 3. in Oakland 4. partnering with new artists.

We are also going to be popping up at Comic Con Silicon Valley in San Jose on Aug. 17-18. That’s going to be awesome. All of this is helping us get the word out about the full shows at Tortona Big Top in Oakland on September 13th and 14th.

Another live action shot. We were lucky the mural doubled as a sun blocker!

That’s me with Bijou, otherwise known as DJ Kream (founder of Oakhella). LOVE all these female creatives coming together for First Fridays July event, themed “Art is Women”. PS - I found that “SHE” shirt in my closet, and it’s our FURY colors to boo…
